There is no magical formula for turning mindfulness on. All you must do is choose to become aware of this moment and be present without judgement.

In a busy world you can find time for mindfulness even if you think you don't have time to practice meditation, though mindfulness and meditation go hand in hand.1) Focus on your breath. Take a break when your mind gets cluttered and just focus on your breathing.
2) Focus on what you are eating, how does it taste, it's texture, chew slowly and bring awareness to your food.
3) Be aware of your thoughts. Listen to the inner commentator. Is that voice negative? Being aware of your thinking is a powerful tool.
4) Take a yoga class. Yoga practice takes mindfulness into a moving meditation.
5) Practice Gratitude. Appreciate life for what it is and what you have, instead of focusing on what you don’t have or don't want or can't stand, etc. Where you are now is exactly where you are meant to be.
